Rim repairs

Workflow

  1. The rim is cleaned thoroughly.
  2. The surface is matt (polished) to ensure good grip.
  3. The rim is cut with a diamond finish cutting machine for precise reworking.
  4. After processing, the rim receives a special "bare to metal" clear coat for protection and shine.

  • Scan (analysis): 20,000 ISK.
  • Rim cutting: 45,000 kr.
  • Paint color (if applicable): 20,000 kr per rim
  • Rim fitting and balancing: 6,500 kr. per rim


Conclusion

In almost all cases, the rim is close to being as it was before the damage/corrosion.

Regulations limit how much can be cut off each rim, so deep damage cannot be removed.


Risk / Note

There is always a risk that the edges and texture will not be 100% the same as before the repair.

There is a very small, but real risk of the rim being damaged in the process.
